IPOH: Perak Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Ahmad Faizal Azumu’s “betrayal” is expected, says Farhash Wafa Salvador Rizal Mubarak (pic).

The Perak PKR chairman said he has long been disappointed with the state Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) chairman and has criticised his performance as the Mentri Besar and as a Pakatan Harapan member.

“We have expected Perak to fall as we have long been disappointed with Faizal.

“His behaviour of fooling the people can be seen the whole of last week, delaying to make a decision, ” he said in a statement on Monday (March 9).

“The people’s hurt from the betrayal by several PKR and Bersatu leaders has yet to heal and is now compounded by the falling of several state governments, ” he added.

Earlier on Monday, Faizal, who is also Tambun MP and Chenderiang assemblyman, announced that Perikatan Nasional, which comprises Bersatu, Barisan Nasional and PAS, would form the state government.

Present during the press conference was Kuala Kurau assemblyman and state executive council member Datuk Abdul Yunus Jamahri.

Abdul Yunus has joined Bersatu, along with former Umno member-turned-independent Tualang Sekah assemblywoman Datuk Nolee Ashilin Mohd Radzi.

On Abdul Yunus, Farhash said the former has always isolated himself and moved on his own.

“I am inclined to see this as a new way in our fight for reformation with party members that are free from the cartel and to strengthen Pakatan, ” he added.
